magical art and illustration

paintings and poetry by megan elizabeth

I’m here to go slowly, to unfurl like a new leaf

sparkling with dew, reaching for the sun

drinking in the promise of everyday to come

I’m here not to conform but to reach for the stars

to find my place under the moon

and whisper you are loved.

“at the end of the day all her heart really needed was flowers, music, books and a place to call home”

Open sketchbook with pastel-colored watercolor illustrations of children's cardigans with floral accents, accompanied by handwritten notes 'everything's coming up' and 'daisie' with small decorative flowers and stars. A painter's palette with mixed colors is partially visible at the top.
A colorful floral drawing on paper with the words 'VOTE' and 'JOY' written at the top. The drawing includes pink, yellow, purple, and green flowers, leaves, and decorative elements. A paintbrush is placed on the paper.

watercolour swirls - an alchemy of love, dreams and desire - pieces rendered by hand, and by heart

sparks ignite, connection whispers - you are seen, you are held

you are magic.

black cat with la luna wording

I was afraid to be seen / but I couldn’t not hide

She knew exactly what to do / to bring me outside

She brought pressure to bear / and birthed a diamond

Months of sleepless nights / to grow into a flower

The unveiling / the softening / the unfurling of a cocoon

Brought me to life

Light, no shadow lingering

No darkened room.
