Journal Prompts / Aries Full Moon 2026

I have grown to love journaling and working with both the New Moon and Full Moon energy. I notice different things come up each cycle, and some moon phases are definitely more challenging than others.

This Full Moon in Aries, I’ve really been noticing some old patterns surfacing, ready for clearing. Last week in particular, I ended up burning the candle at both ends ~ an old work habit for me ~ and REALLY felt it on the weekend.

In a more acute way than normal. I was exhausted and also a bit disappointed as I thought I’d kind of stopped doing that kind of work. The kind that leaves me feeling unable to unplug or disconnect from work, overstimulated and a bit out of touch with life stuff. I haven’t fallen down that particular rabbit hole for awhile now, but I found myself in that loop this week.

These journalling prompts came to me today, questions bubbling up intuitively to remind me tapping into my feminine energy, going more softly and not getting caught up in hustle culture really is the way forward. I feel like softness so often is seen as opposite to strength, or that it is at odds with leadership. When I tuned into my body on the yoga mat, I could feel where I’ve overextended, and also blown past all my own little warning lights.

My goal with work is to work more in connection with my body and spirit, so that everything feels more expansive and grounded. When I spend too much time up in my head, outsourcing my own body and heart wisdom to the latest advice, it never feels or ends well.

I really feel we are heading out of this time period where it’s been normal to outsource your intuition and wisdom to someone who ‘knows better’ and come back into your own inner authority and heart-led wisdom.

Which isn’t easy in a system that thrives on pushing you to breaking point.

Over the weekend, I unplugged from the noise and tapped back into my creativity ~ creating space to hear my own intuition again and coming back into my own energy.

This week and with the energy of this moon, I’ve resolved to work differently, to stop the processes and patterns that inevitably bring me towards burnout or make me feel disconnected from my creativity.

If you’ve been feeling the same, here are some journal prompts to contemplate:

Where is your head overriding your heart?

Heart-led wisdom brings us back into our centre, takes us out of the chaos of the mind and brings the connection back to the body.

Feel into your centre and take several deep breaths, imagining you’re somewhere beautiful and calm.

Reconnect to the part of you that feels true.

The part that feels real.

The part that is asking to be heard, above all

the noise.

Where can you lead with softness?

The rigidity, the rules, the structures. Like old buildings, past their time. Once held shelter, now they are ready to be remade. Some, knocked down to create space for new concepts and spaces.

Where can you let go of the harsh or rigid rules that are no longer relevant to the new things you want to build? What was once supportive, now belongs to an old version of you?

Where can you lead in a more gentle, expansive way of being that no longer rules with harsh judgement but makes way for different perspectives and an entirely different way of being?

Where are you holding back from shining your light?

In what ways have you been sitting on your own vision? Your own expression? Your own unique way of being and showing up?

Where are you lighting your light, and hiding it under a basket? How can you let go of the weight of expectation and fear to release your own limiting patterns, so you can be fully seen as you are.

Where can you step forward into your own authority and show up as a leader in your own magic ~ where are you still outsourcing guidance to others, when the answer already lies within?
